Fire Warden Training:

Designed for – Personnel who have been nominated by their employer as Fire Marshals/Fire Wardens.

Objectives – To provide staff with the practical knowledge and skills to carry out their duties in the event of a fire.

Course Content:

  • Fire safety legislation.
  • Basics of combustion.
  • Classes of fire.
  • Types of Fire extinguishers and their uses.
  • Fire blankets.
  • Actions to be taken in the event of a fire.
  • The role of the fire warden.
  • Fire safety auditing.
  • Dealing with arson.
  • General fire precautions.
  • Course questionnaire, evaluation and close.
  • On completion of the course a Fire Marshal/Fire Warden certificate will be awarded to successful staff.

Fire Extinguisher Training:

Designed for – Any employee who under current legislation is required to be trained in the use of portable fire-fighting equipment.

Objectives – To provide staff with the practical knowledge and skills to become competent in the use of portable fire-fighting equipment.

Course Content:

  • Basics of combustion
  • Classes of fire
  • Types of fire extinguishers and their uses
  • Fire blanket training
  • Practical session
  • This course will include “live-fire” practical training in the use of fire extinguishers.
  • On completion of the course a certificate will be awarded to successful staff.

Construction Site Fire Safety Co-ordinator

Designed for – Any employee who is a potential, or appointed Construction Site Fire Safety Co-ordinator.

Objectives – To enable staff to understand their role with regards Fire Safety on the construction site. To provide them with a clear understanding of the principles contained within the ‘Joint Code of Practice’ thus preparing them for their role as the Fire Safety co-ordinator.

  • LPG and flammable materials
  • Means of escape
  • The Fire Safety Co-ordinator
